The story
How Peter got here.
Before financial planning, Peter spent his early career as a lifeguard and swim instructor. He taught kids and adults how to move through water, what to do when the unexpected hits, and how to stay calm when you can't see the bottom.
He started noticing that families were going through something similar with money. Smart people, doing everything they could, still felt like they were treading water. They didn't lack effort. They lacked a plan they could trust when life shifted underneath them.
So he changed careers. Same instinct, different setting. More than a decade later, Noah's Ark Financial is the name he built around one idea: the right plan is a life vest for a family. It doesn't stop the waves. It gives you a chance to keep moving when one hits.
The work is one-on-one on purpose. Every conversation happens with Peter directly. Every plan is mapped to a real family. You won't be passed to a junior associate, you won't get a cookie-cutter recommendation, and you won't hear sales language designed to push a product.
How working together feels different
Three things Noah's Ark Financial does differently.
One advisor, every call.
You won't get rotated to a junior associate. When you reach out to Noah's Ark Financial, the conversation is with Peter. That's the entire point.
Plans without jargon.
You'll never be handed a 40-page PDF you can't read. Peter walks you through the numbers, the trade-offs, and what each choice costs and protects, in language that makes sense at your kitchen table.
Local context built in.
Hudson Valley families face specific things: NY state estate tax, the mortgage-to-income ratios in Putnam County and the river towns, what private school in this corridor really costs. Peter's plans are mapped to where you actually live.
Honest disclaimers
What Peter doesn’t do.
Naming the limits up front saves both of us time, and is part of how Peter works.
Not the job
Independent broker
Peter works primarily through MassMutual carriers via the Vermont Financial Group of NY. If a different carrier is the better fit for your situation, he’ll say so and refer you. He doesn’t market himself as an independent or carrier-neutral advisor.
Not the job
Legal documents
Peter doesn’t draft wills, trusts, or any legal instruments. He coordinates the financial side (beneficiary designations, insurance ownership, account titling) with your attorney. Hudson Valley estate-attorney referrals available on request.
Not the job
Tax preparation
Peter doesn’t prepare tax returns or provide formal tax advice. He models the financial side of decisions (Roth conversion timing, withdrawal strategy, estate exposure) and hands off the execution to your CPA.
Not the job
Fee-only structure
Peter isn’t a fee-only advisor. His compensation flows through MassMutual + MML Investors Services and is governed by their disclosure rules. The first consultation is free; ongoing engagement structure is discussed before any work begins.

Why "Noah's Ark"
The name is for his son.
The Noah in Noah's Ark Financial is Peter's son. The story-world he later built around the brand, three animal families, a young shepherd as their guide, grew out of the same instinct that named the work in the first place.
Peter's job, the way he frames it, is the one any parent at a Hudson Valley kitchen table would understand: keep the family afloat through whatever's next.
